If you load YaST->Hardware->Hardware Information, what is listed under CD-ROM? Just the dvd drive. No burner. Just depressing emptimess so to speak. So it does seem odd doesn't it? Buster Is it just a YaST problem? What happens if you load a CD in the drive, can you "cd" to it in a shell?

Hello, I've got a HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4482B DVD reader in my PC, but it will only read and write CDs and not read DVD's.
