Maybe live without your *second* CD-ROM drive (or whatever), at least for awhile. Most modern machines can support four IDE devices (two on the primary controller and two on the secondary controller). Few people actually use all four slots -- most people only have 1 hard drive (primary master) and 1 CD/DVD-ROM/R/RW
